We have been getting to know each other in the Tumbling Tides room and the children have settled in so well! There have been a couple of new friends that we have welcomed to the centre who have also started to find their feet.IMG_4420

The children have been enjoying our outdoor play time and have been exploring the mud pit, chickens, Guinea pigs and helped with the gardens. We have welcomed Danielle as our outdoor educator and cannot wait to see what she teaches us when our new art room is built!

For Colour Week and the children loved dressing up in all the different colours! We did some colourful collages and colour mixing with paint and glitter. We also did some experiments with white flowers, mixing colours for the water. You should see how beautiful they turned out!!

It was a very rainy start to the year and we have had many rainy days since. We are going to start a wet weather program that allows the children to be outside in the rain so please ensure you pack a raincoat that can stay in their bag throughout the year and some gumboots if you wish, for splashing in puddles.IMG_4223

It can be tricky to think of what to pack for lunches and the children have been talking about what is healthy to eat so here is a couple of handy websites with lunch box ideas! Please ensure that their lunches are healthy and don’t contain nuts.
